'Early Hours Snail Seeking the Moon'   A truly subconcious image! I began by working on the boot, which I admired for its textures. I can absolutely say I had no specific idea in my mind as this developed. Many of my familiar motifs appear, and I read this image as a personal refuge of comfort from the storms that surrounded me.
